A subtropical cyclone is a weather system that has some characteristics of a tropical and an extratropical cyclone. They require central convection fairly near the center and a warming core in the mid-levels of the troposphere.

Subtropical cyclones have broad wind patterns with maximum sustained winds located farther from the center than typical tropical cyclones, and have no weather fronts linked into their center. Did you know you can add a ‘+’ sign to your gmail address to make variants of your address for routing/spam guard purposes? So if your address is username@gmail.com you can use username+facebook@gmail.com or username+twitter@gmail.com.

I use something similar with my email so I can catch companies who sell my e-mail address to spammers. If you start getting spam from username+twitter@gmail.com then you know Twitter sold your info (or was scanned by a bot.)
