Slowly moving my tropical storm tracking scripts off of my live web server and onto a local LAMP stack. I’m also changing my maps from being generated by GD to Imagemagick.

Sounds silly, but I’m having a lot of fun doing this.

So I need to do something to earn a little money. Does anyone need anything internet related created? Know of someone needing something made? Sadly I do not have much in a way of a portfolio since most of my experience was self-projects that I have a tendency to build and destroy.

Most of my experience has been with LAMP (Linux Apache MySQL PHP), though I do have a little Windows Server experience.

I keep adding features to my tropical tracking website and I’m starting to put a significant load on my web host… and since it’s shared hosting this could be an issue.

So I’m setting up a LAMP stack and doing all my processing from there :) Only final data will be loaded to my web host for display.

Couldn’t get to sleep so I spend the early morning hours completely cleaning up my music folder. It’s crazy… this is the same core music files I’ve been carrying with me for 13 years. Since 1999 I’ve only been adding and adding to the collection.

Today I zipped them all up into one 7z file and stored it away. Keeping only the music I still actively listen to, fixing their meta data, and rebuilding my WinAMP library and playlists.

But wow… what a trip down memory lane.

I’m not sure when this change occurred but… you can edit your comments now on Facebook. Once you do, you’ll see a link that pops up a window showing the edit history. Therefore … you can fix your typos BUT everyone will still be able to see your shame :D

I never noticed that comparative and superlative adjectives change when the word is more than one syllable. Just one of those things we know instinctively as a native speaker but never notice.
