Tropical Storm Isaac is currently 160 miles southeast of New Orleans, LA moving northwest at 10 MPH.
NHC keeps Isaac as a tropical storm for this update. I’m still waiting for the forecast discussion to be released before I comprehend their keeping it a 70 MPH tropical storm.
Ah-ha! I knew Tropical Storm Isaac was not going to get up to a category 2 hurricane. The amount of dry air it was sucking into its center was just too much to overcome in such a short amount of time.

If you’re watching a low definition TV show on an HD channel and see the white lines at the top of the screen… that is normal. That is the “line 21” encoding of the old style closed captions.
On old style low definition screens this area was above the TV scan area. HD video does not have this and so displays this encoding.

I would like to jump straight into the big University down state BUT I’m still not able to qualify for anything other than Stafford Student Loans. That will NOT cover the cost for a semester of tuition and housing. Staying up here isn’t an option much longer and I can’t wait any longer, a plan has to be enacted soon. When you see an opportunity you have to jump on it.
The plan is set in motion. I’m going to go to school down state and, if everything works out, start in January. I’ll most likely start at Grand Rapids Community College just to get the ball rolling, then transfer to either Michigan State or Western Michigan.
