Barenaked Ladies was awesome! They have a different sound since Steven Page left. Not that this is bad, but it was interesting to hear some classics, like Old Apartment, done without him.
Ben Folds Five was fantastic. If course they played “Brick”.

California’s Proposition 8 is effectively dead.
The Supreme Court has said that the people appealing the lower courts decision to strike down Prop 8 had no standing to appeal the case to the Supreme Court.
Basically, they had no right to argue against this law as they were not personally damaged by it.
It isn’t an all encompassing “strike all marriage equality bans” ruling, but it works.
DOMA struck down as unconstitutional. About damn time!
Awaiting Prop 8 ruling and hoping it goes as well as this!

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a Flood Advisory for the Grand River at Lowell until Monday morning.
- At 09 am Thursday the stage was estimated to be 7.0 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
- Forecast… the river will rise to near 11.4 feet Saturday evening.
- Impact… at 10.0 feet… river is bankfull. Expect flooding of low lying areas adjacent to the banks

I can buy used books, cars, music, movies, furniture, clothes, etc., etc., etc. The multi-billion dollar industry that videogames are can’t handle the loss of revenue from used games? Bullshit.
So much pain in my mouth. Ouch.
PlayStation 4 for $399 and doesn’t come with ridiculous DRM. Xbox One for $499 and plenty of restrictions on used games and no option for renting …

Isabelle asked me this morning when drinking straws were invented. This lead to me finding out that straws are probably over 5000 years old and most likely was used to drink beer. Neat. The oldest straw found was dated to about 3000 BCE.
