We awoke at the end of an era, We came to life in the footnotes of time, We are stardust made conscious and breathing, orphans of the suns that have died.

We are created but we are the makers, we are lucid inside the Dreamtime. We are the Alphas and the Omegas, we are what we choose to define.

We are the scales of our own hearts, We are alchemists in search of, transforming randomness into meaning, We are the serpent, we are the dove.

We are every possibility, We are the fire stolen from the gods, We are all horror and we are all beauty. We are what we are - paradox.

Love is the only law, and it cannot be killed. We are the stars, we are of stars, so love what you will.

And the Seraphim will sanctify, the particles that illuminate the sky. What was once will always be, the universe is inside me, the magician that wants to be free.

I have a beta test code to give away for Elder Scrolls Online. Just one.

February 25, 2014 - 10:29:38

Watching the local community Facebook page whip themselves up in a patriotic frenzy over the lack of forced recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. It is taking all of my will power not to respond.

February 18, 2014 - 09:36:15

We had a Top Gun moment when Kerrie Bartel-Christensen and I broke out in song to “Lost That Lovin’ Feeling”. Belle just looked confused.

February 16, 2014 - 22:10:07

My computer blue screened while writing a paper :-/

February 16, 2014 - 16:13:13

If you trace back all those links in the chain that had to be in place for me to be here, the laws of probability maintain that my very existence is miraculous. But then after however many decades, less than a hundred years, they disburse and I cease to be. So while they’re all congregated and coordinated to make me, then—and I speak her on behalf of all those trillions of atoms—I should really make the most of things.” – Jim Al-Khalili

February 11, 2014 - 19:28:22

I understand what people are trying to say, but honestly, this whole “real women are this” or “real women are that” is bogus.

Real women… are people that have reached the age of majority that identify as female. Nothing more, nothing less.

February 10, 2014 - 14:04:27

I am sick of winter.

February 8, 2014 - 22:14:51

Ahh, beta testing. Loading screen for 10 minutes…

February 8, 2014 - 00:00:50

Test completed! 50 minutes, 75 questions… missed two. One was a stupid mistake (Unicode is obviously NOT 8-bit, derp)… and the other was an even worse mistake as I forgot to check my answer. sigh

February 6, 2014 - 19:12:46

Sitting for an hour and a half at the Saranac High School.

February 6, 2014 - 12:34:47

I just finished my first essay for my English class. It is titled “Escape from Intolerance: My Conversion to Buddhism” :D

February 5, 2014 - 07:55:20

Milk production at a dairy farm was low, so the farmer wrote to the local university, asking for help from academia. A multidisciplinary team of professors was assembled, headed by a theoretical physicist, and two weeks of intensive on-site investigation took place. The scholars then returned to the university, notebooks crammed with data, where the task of writing the report was left to the team leader. Shortly thereafter the physicist returned to the farm, saying to the farmer “I have the solution, but it only works in the case of spherical cows in a vacuum.”

February 4, 2014 - 20:51:53

Was granted access to a pretty substantial beta test. :-D

February 4, 2014 - 09:20:47

January 20, 2014 - 14:09:55

In the deepest depths of winter with nary a blot of color to be found nor a single source of warmth to be spied, I find my life full of bright colors and a source of warmth unmatched in the universe. Kerrie and Isabelle have brought to my life a joy I didn’t know was missing. And now, with a son on the way, I feel I may explode with happiness.

January 19, 2014 - 17:58:33

January 6, 2014 - 09:40:47

I am laughing at some silly comments on the internet.

Climate change is not disproven because of weather.

January 4, 2014 - 20:03:36

Wow. The Colts came alive at the end. Good game.

January 3, 2014 - 12:43:08

Fifth third ballpark is on fire. (Home of the West Michigan Whitecaps)

Everything down first base is engulfed. Propane tanks in the concession area are exploding. There is fear of eminent collapse, so the fire department is staying back.

January 2, 2014 - 13:41:09

I’ll be buying my school books tomorrow. I honestly have no idea what to expect in my intro to telecommunications class, but I’ll have answers tomorrow.

December 31, 2013 - 14:35:10

Who is the genius running around with no coat in 15° weather?

Brr.

December 31, 2013 - 00:44:47

From the Dhammapada

One is not wise because one speaks much. He who is peaceable, friendly and fearless is called wise.

December 29, 2013 - 19:48:55

49ers pull out a win! However, Seattle won as well. Therefore, they only get a wild card spot, and not #1 seed.

December 26, 2013 - 19:50:25

I’m a little jealous. I want to shower in Belle’s bathroom. That light up shower head is groovy.

December 24, 2013 - 14:10:58

December 23, 2013 - 20:33:46

Last regular season game at Candlestick Park. As a life long 49ers fan, tonight makes me a little sad.

December 23, 2013 - 18:55:46

From the Dhammapada

Like a beautiful flower full of color but without fragrance, even so, fruitless are the fair words of one who does not practice them.

December 22, 2013 - 23:06:34

One more from the Karaniya Metta Sutta:

Let no one deceive another or despise anyone anywhere, or through anger or resistance wish for another to suffer.

As a mother would risk her life to protect her child, her only child, even so should one cultivate a limitless heart with regard to all beings.

With good will for the entire cosmos, cultivate a limitless heart: Above, below, and all around, unobstructed, without hostility or hate.

December 22, 2013 - 22:56:19

One of my favorite verses in the Buddhist canon. From the Karaniya Metta Sutta:

Whatever living beings there may be — feeble or strong; long, stout, or of medium size; short, small, large; those seen or those unseen, those dwelling far or near, those who are born as well as those yet to be born — may all beings be happy.

December 22, 2013 - 20:03:48

Ooh, Seatle lost! A 49er win tomorrow will put them closer to taking the division.

December 21, 2013 - 18:56:39

I drank half a bottle of wine on an empty stomach, then downed 12 fajitas.

I’m going to regret this later.

December 20, 2013 - 20:27:29

Intermission at the Nutcracker. So far, so good. If I may be uncultured for just a moment: ballet dudes, I haven’t seen this much tightly packed sausage since I was in the grocery store’s meat department.

December 20, 2013 - 15:49:38

Our Winter Weather Advisory will end tonight at 7pm. Tomorrow afternoon at 1pm we’ll be under a Winter Storm Watch.

Expect an additional .1 to .2 inches of ice Saturday evening into Sunday morning.

December 19, 2013 - 22:42:44

I have had this saved to my clipboard tonight because I keep having to repeat it:

This is not a freedom of speech issue. A private company decided to let go of one of their employees. The first amendment (or the constitution as a whole) does not apply.

December 19, 2013 - 09:34:47

My official record now has “Academic Good Standing” stamped on it. flex

December 10, 2013 - 08:31:16

December 9, 2013 - 18:56:58

The Storm Prediction Center has issued only two high risk areas during November in the last 15 years. One day had 49 tornadoes and the other had 64 tornadoes and three dozen fatalities. Find a safe place to be this afternoon and evening. -Bill Steffen, WOOD-TV

November 1, 2013 - 23:25:57

New world order… seriously? That shit will happen just as soon as we have world peace.

These conspiracy nutos actually think someone would be able to unify the entire world under a single government?! We can’t even figure out how to govern a single country without it falling apatt.
