The Onion bought “Info Wars” and created a fake evil company, Global Tetrahedron.
Amazing.
In a satirical letter from Bryce P. Tetraeder, the fictional CEO of Onion owner Global Tetrahedron, Infowars was praised for its “unswerving commitment to manufacturing anger and radicalizing the most vulnerable members of society—values that resonate deeply with all of us at Global Tetrahedron.”

I’ve been working on this one for a while. Coming January 20, 2025 - yes, inauguration day.
This evening, Hungary’s prime minister, Viktor Orban, posted on social media that he had just spoken with Trump, saying: “We have big plans for the future!”
Orban has shifted his country away from democracy, claiming that traditional liberal democracy weakens a nation. He believes that promoting equality for immigrants, LGBTQ+ individuals, and women disrupts the traditional patriarchal society.
Instead he promotes “illiberal” or “Christian” democracy. This type of government, like Russia, has elections, but they are a farce. They are predetermined because the government suppresses opposition. This model promises a return to a society dominated by white, religious values. He has advanced his vision by shutting down independent media, cracking down on political opponents, undermining the rule of law, and controlling the economy with a group of close allies.
This is what voters chose yesterday.
If you’re feeling strong emotions following the election results, please remember to be kind to yourself. Many of us are concerned about the policies these elected officials may implement and their potential impact. It’s disheartening to witness the divisions and negativity that have surfaced among us.
Take comfort in knowing that the challenges we face are the result of complex societal factors - a web of cause and effect that no single person can change alone. The circumstances that led us here have been unfolding over a long time. You may feel powerless, both politically and in your ability to effect positive change. But there’s something we can all do, and it’s quite simple: love. Show compassion, even toward those with whom you disagree. Be the one who offers peace in the midst of conflict.
Hatred, ignorance, and greed are detrimental to our world. While it’s tempting to become disillusioned, recognizing right from wrong is a gift that can help us make things better. Be kind and compassionate to others, even those who hold different beliefs. They may be influenced by misinformation or fear, but it’s not entirely their fault. There are forces that exploit people’s emotions for personal gain, and sometimes people learn negativity from others.
All you need to do today is promote kindness. Remind your coworkers, friends, family, students, and even strangers what it means to be compassionate. Show empathy to someone today - they might really need it. Walk confidently knowing you’re contributing to a better world because you choose love over hate.
You know, I may have gotten confused with all of these damn political signs all over the place. I may of accidently voted for a real estate agent 😲😥

Amazing! When you consider the amount of raw energy this represents, and that it is only a tiny fraction of the sun’s full potential, it is hard not to be in awe.
The anticipated coronal mass ejection (CME) arrived at Earth at 11:15am EDT at nearly 1.5 million miles per hour. The CME strength and structure are being closely scrutinized for potential geomagnetic storm intensity, but, G3 levels are now expected due to the magnitude and potential of the CME, therefore G3 or greater warning has been issued. G4 (Severe) levels remain likely with the watch still in effect and even a slight chance of G5 (Extreme) levels due to initial observations of the CME strength. Updates will continue as conditions are met with Alerts issued accordingly.
This storm could impact ongoing recovery efforts for Hurricanes Helene and Milton in several critical ways:
-
Communications: Systems that depend on low-Earth orbit satellites or High-Frequency communication may experience disruptions.
-
Power grids: The storm could put additional stress on power grids already weakened by the hurricanes.
-
GPS services: Navigation systems, especially those relied upon in disaster relief, may be degraded.
SWPC has already updated FEMA and several state agencies involved in recovery operations.
When skies are clear, the aurora (Northern Lights) could be visible as far south as Alabama and northern California tonight.

While we’re having some fun with Trump and Vance running with this whole pet eating thing - even I have shared a meme or two about this absurdity, we should remember that this rumor started locally by neo-nazis. Also remember that these rumors were started against a group of immigrants that are here legally. Not that I believe it matters, but it shows that their “the right way” talking point on immigration is absolute garbage.
These are real people living real lives. Now, they have a target on them from low and no information folk. That target, initially painted on them by local neo-nazis, has been amplified by the American right.
I watched a few minutes of the debate. What a damn disgrace. Trump starts at point A, then finds his way to Saturn before he makes a return trip to point XXVI. All the while, there are literally people out there that will listen to his rambling nonsense and nod their head.
I really just hope that we’re on some intergalactic prank show and some creature is going to pop out from the other side of the moon, laugh, and point at the hidden camera.

A small snippet of an article I just wrote. Facebook dislikes outside links, so I’ll put it in the comments.
The policy agenda outlined by the Heritage Foundation represents a sweeping and radical transformation of American governance, society, and values. If implemented, these changes would fundamentally alter the role of the federal government, reshape the social fabric of the nation, and redefine America’s place in the world. The proposed policies touch every aspect of life in the United States, from healthcare and education to environmental protection and civil rights. They have the potential to roll back decades of progress in areas such as environmental conservation, social equality, and worker protections, while dramatically shifting power dynamics both within the government and in society at large.
Given the far-reaching implications of these proposals, it is crucial for every citizen to be well-informed about these potential changes and their consequences. Understanding these policies is the first step in engaging in meaningful civic discourse and taking action, whether through voting, activism, or community organizing. The future direction of the country hangs in the balance, and the outcome will affect not just current generations but those to come. It’s important to recognize that while some may support aspects of this agenda, many of these policies could have severe negative impacts on vulnerable populations and long-term national interests. Combating these extreme measures requires active participation in the democratic process, critical thinking about the long-term consequences of such policies, and a commitment to preserving the principles of equality, justice, and environmental stewardship that have been hard-won over many years. The stakes are high, and the need for an informed and engaged citizenry has never been more critical.
Izzy, I see you.
We were in Grand Rapids for a little bit and ran across the red hat cult on their way to a rally. It physically made me feel nauseous - like when I begin to feel motion sickness.
I think the best thing for all of us to do is take a deep breath, calm the mind and body, and then begin speculating as loud, crazy, and incoherently as possible.
I have read their Mandate for Leadership, front cover to back, over the past few months, and if I had to sum it up into one short succinct sentence, it would be this: more money for the rich hidden behind a culture war shield.
Nothing that I can discern in this policy document looks to do anything about expanding actual freedoms for your average person. What it actually does is shrink or eliminate almost any oversight, replaces much that remains with loyal political appointments, does away with public safety regulations, and paints it all in a top coat of evangelical Christian values.
I have put my Project 2025 policy list up on the internet now.
Since Facebook doesn’t share posts with links as widely as text posts, I’ll place the link in the comments.
I took all of the policy recommendations from Project 2025 and turned it into a straight bullet-point list.
It is 27 pages long.
I have finished reading the Project 2025 document. All inane 880+ pages.
I have written down thoughts and ideas from each chapter. Do I write this out or make a video about it?
I’ve been reading the Project 2025 PDF off and on for a while. I’m glad to hear others finally keying in on this nonsense as well.

I have one of those Mandela Effects that I hadn’t heard of until today and it has blown my mind. In the James Bond film Moonraker, the villain Jaws meets Dolly and falls in love at first sight…… of her braces.
Her braces, his big metal teeth, true love.
Except, apparently, she didn’t have braces. Ever. I distinctly remember this sight gag. Many of us remember it. It simply doesn’t exist. She doesn’t have braces. Not in the set photos, not in any clips on YouTube, not in the movie itself. It doesn’t exist.
I’ve only just learned this morning about this. I will be spending the rest of the day in an existential crisis.
I woke up to find that the supercell spinning tornados near Tulsa is STILL active and tornado warned nearly 7 hours later.
What a horrible night.
There is a large violent tornado north of Denton crossing I-35.
ANOTHER chance for tornadoes tomorrow in Oklahoma and Kansas. If any storm cells fire up tomorrow afternoon, they have some of the most unstable air seen this year to develop in 😞
I’ve got a bad feeling about the weather in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri tomorrow.
We are likely to experience severe weather due to a prominent weather system moving through the region. This system (a Mesoscale Convective Vortex, MCV) was produced by a destructive thunderstorm complex over Kansas last evening and is now moving northeast across Iowa, southern Wisconsin, and towards central Lake Michigan and the northern Lower Peninsula tonight.
As this system moves, it will bring strengthening winds and increased atmospheric instability. The combination of these factors will likely lead to the development of thunderstorms later this morning through late afternoon. These storms are expected to form in pockets of heating where the sun breaks through the clouds, with surface dewpoints in the low to mid-60s, creating a highly unstable environment.
Although the overall wind shear is forecasted to be modest, it may be stronger than predicted, particularly in the areas east and southeast of the MCV. This could support the formation of organized multicell thunderstorms and possibly a few supercells. The main threats from these storms will be damaging wind gusts and isolated severe hail.
There are two potential scenarios for how these storms could evolve:
-
The thunderstorms that develop in Illinois could rejuvenate and intensify as they move over Lake Michigan and into Lower Michigan, despite the cooling effect of the lake waters.
-
Additional storms could develop directly over the Lower Peninsula as the MCV approaches and enhances upward motion in the atmosphere.
This does sound like something I would say. However, I probably can’t remember it because of how tired I was 😂
Latest prediction is for the aurora to begin intensifying after 3am…
😴
Solar storm is at a G3 (1 to 5 scale) at the moment, but I see nothing outside.
I love how many aurora photos I’m seeing. The last major solar storm was during the MySpace era and before the modern smartphone.
An extreme geomagnetic storm is ongoing. If you have clear skies that are dark, you very well might be able to see the northern lights tonight.

I’m taking the self-publishing route. I intend to offer the book for free, allowing anyone interested in Buddhism to explore its contents without any financial barrier, though I do plan to put it up for sale as well. This project is a labor of love, aimed at spreading knowledge and understanding of Buddhist principles.
