Chapter 11 - Department of Education

  • Eliminate the Department of Education
  • Redistribute education programs across other federal agencies
  • Eliminate ineffective or duplicative education programs
  • Convert remaining federal education funding to flexible block grants
  • Advance education freedom and school choice
  • Provide education choice for "federal" children (military, D.C., tribal)
  • Restore state and local control over education funding
  • Reform federal student aid programs
  • End abuses in loan forgiveness programs
