Chapter 10 - Department of Agriculture
- Reject efforts to transform the food system based on climate change and equity concerns
- Remove U.S. from UN and international sustainable development initiatives related to food
- Eliminate or restrict USDA's discretionary spending authority under the Commodity Credit Corporation
- Repeal or significantly reform farm subsidy programs like ARC and PLC
- Eliminate the federal sugar program
- Reduce premium subsidies for crop insurance
- Move food and nutrition programs (like SNAP) from USDA to HHS
- Re-implement and tighten work requirements for SNAP recipients
- Reform broad-based categorical eligibility for SNAP
- Re-evaluate and potentially reduce the recent increase to SNAP benefits
- Eliminate the "heat and eat" loophole for SNAP
- Reform the WIC state voucher system
- Re-evaluate regulations on baby formula
- Scale back expanded school meal programs, particularly the Community Eligibility Provision
