An important note on the situation at hand: Trump is only a symptom of an underlying disease. He is a useful puppet for a far more sinister desire to implement a white ethnostate.

I know people throw around the "puppet" phrase a bit too much, but here the shoe fits. He's useful because he was electable and was willing to bring these white nationalists along for the ride. I wouldn't put it past them to Weekend at Bernie's him to continue their agenda. If you can stomach watching him, you have seen him deteriorate before our very eyes. He's not in control of this administration, and I honestly don't believe he's much in control of himself anymore.

What we do have is two vile individuals: Stephen Miller and Russell Vought.

Russell Vought had a major role in putting together Project 2025. His goal is to consolidate executive power, enforce Christian nationalism, find a way to have the president not bound by the Posse Comitatus act, and replace career federal civil service employees with Trump loyalists.

Stephen Miller is a special kind of monster. He has, since as early as high school, verbally taunted Latino immigrants in Santa Monica high school, frequently called in to right-wing talk radio shows, and even recorded a video in his school bus claiming that torture was a humane way of winning a war and collecting information. As an adult, he influenced the editorial content of Breitbart News, and frequently amplified the contents of far-right and white supremacist websites VDARE and American Renaissance. It has been joked that if Miller had his way, the US population would be reduced to about 100 million.

You see Vought's finger prints all over the dismantling of the federal government.

And Miller is responsible for the anti-immigrant actions, including the ramping up of ICE.

I fear far too many people are focused on Trump, even if he is the executive. When he's gone, however that may happen, it will not end a single thing that's happening. Maybe it'll break this weird spell he had over some people, but these true monsters lurking in the shadows will still be there, still trying to make life miserable for everyone except White Christian Nationalists.
