About Not Broken Just Differen

"Not Broken Just Different" is a deeply personal song that serves as a message to my younger self. Growing up neurodivergent, I often felt misunderstood and out of place. The lyrics recount the struggles of being labeled lazy or unfocused when, in reality, my mind just worked differently. References to video games and pop culture symbolize the escapes that provided comfort during those times.

Writing this song was a healing process. It allowed me to reflect on my journey towards self-acceptance, especially after being diagnosed with ADHD and autism as an adult. The chorus expresses a heartfelt wish to reassure my younger self that there's nothing wrong with being different. Ultimately, the song is about embracing one's unique identity and finding freedom in self-understanding.
