Web 1.0 was the best Web.
I was driving around at work during the night and I got to thinking. Have you ever wished you could go back in time, with the maturity and knowledge that you have now, and done things differently?
Of course that would, in reality, create a paradox. You became the person you are because of the descisions and mistakes you made: you learned, or didn’t learn, from those mistakes and actions taken in the past. If you were to go back and change them, you would change who you are.
However, the idea of being able to slap your younger self and tell yourself how you are NOT the smartest person in the world, that you do not know whats best. The idea of knowing then what you know now. So many things you thought that were smart and intelligent descisions, or things you did out of selfishness.
I do not regret anything in my past, I am who I am today because of what I was then… I also believe that one can not focus on their past. You can’t move forwards if you’re looking backwards, you’re likely to run into a wall. Sometimes though, I like to ponder some of the things I did, and how I would’ve done it differently, knowing what I know now.
A titled this blog entry Yesterday’s Tomorrow because of another thought I had. Isn’t it funny how completely different today is from yesterday’s tomorrow. Meaning: no matter how much you plan the next day, when it’s here there is much more going on then you’ve most likely planed.
Yesterday’s tomorrow and today: the same dates, but different events – regardless if they’re imagined or realized.
