It’s that time of year when everyone rushes to the Kitchen to get that wonderful piece of pumpkin pie.
This year, I was thankful I was nowhere near the kitchen.
I was awoken to my sister proding me telling me to wake up. (I work night shift, so I sleep in the morning and early afternoon.) After getting myself slightly awake, I ask her whats going on.
“A shotgun blast went through our kitchen.”
Well, if there is a statement in the world that can wake someone up from a cold sleep, that is one of them. I go downstairs to find the pies sitting on the table covered in a fine white poweder. No sir, not sugar, but walling. I look up and there is a one inch hole in our wall and I can see into my neighbors apartment.
Eek!
Three Garland police arrive to look at the hole and talk to the man next door. I looked back into the kitchen to take another look at the wonderful mess. Completeing my circle back torwards the door I see two of the cops at the front door with their guns out pointing out torwards my neighbors.
I couldn’t help but think this may end up being quite the remembered thanksgiving.
I’m also intrigued by the thoughts that went through my head:
Damn, if their is a gun fight at my doorstep, I sure don’t want to be in my boxers.— Doug's Thoughts
Well, nothing really big happened. The guy next door didn’t know the gun was loaded and it accidently went off.
Anywhos, just wanted to say HAPPY THANKSGIVING… I’m going back to bed.
